Message Sumax uses different sized rubber plugs for closing off holes. I don't know where they get them from, maybe just Home Depot? However, they beadblast instead of sandblast - not sure what the difference is, but I think beadblasting might be a little less 'violent'. I used some rubber/foam plugs in the past with my calipers while beadblasting, and the beads just bounced off. You might be able to get away with it by not plugging the holes at all if the pressure is low enough. Just use a lot of compressed air when you are done to clean it out.

Sumax sands down the plenum to get it smooth before powdercoating. With my plenum, they sanded a little less because they used to coats of powder, and 1 coat of clear.

Good luck!
